The Covid-19 pandemic and its impacts characterised the year 2020. In response to the spread of the disease on the continent, youth have mobilised to respond to the urgent needs of their communities. AfricTivistes, through the Mapping of Youth Initiatives against COVID-19 (AYIM), sought to highlight the contribution of young people who were creative using from open source digital solutions, masks to gel dispensing machines, etc as . This project has documented more than 100 initiatives that contribute to strengthening the resilience of people facing the pandemic.
Objective: Highlight the transformative impact of young people and their ability to harness their capacity to address civic challenges.
