The Ñuji4Dev project (Nuji (let’s sow) from the Wolof verb “Ji”, which means “to sow”, so Ñuji4Dev is “Let’s sow for development”) aims to identify young girls with high potential and to support them in the professionalisation and perpetuation of their projects.
The aim is to strengthen the professionalisation, empowerment and social inclusion of young Senegalese girls through a programme of support, accelerators, mentoring and coaching.
This is all the more important as for African youth, social networks, mobile media and digital applications have become information tools, but above all, they have become distribution and information channels for selling household products, fabrics, food or simply for launching a monthly tontine (informal savings between acquaintances). Throughout the country, applications such as WhatsApp or platforms such as Facebook are hijacked by users for entrepreneurial projects.
This project will thus help young girls, starting from a simple idea, to set up their business by integrating the appropriate digital tools for its development.
